Ellis "Officially" Sent Back to Windsor

What was written in the Windsor Star last night has now been made official by the Predators. Ryan Ellis has been returned to the Windsor Spitfires in time to play in tonight's game against Erie. In pregame ceremonies, the team will raise the banner for last year's Memoral Cup title and Ryan will be on hand to participate.

-2009 First Round pick heads back to the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires -

Nashville, Tenn. (September 24, 2009) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Ryan Ellis to his junior team, the Windsor Spitfires (OHL).

Ellis, Nashville’s first choice, 11th overall, in the 2009 Entry Draft, suited up for one preseason game during 2009 Training Camp. Nashville’s camp roster now sits at 34 players (3 goaltenders, 10 defensemen, 21 forwards).

The Predators close out the home portion of their 2009 preseason schedule on Saturday when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes at 7 p.m. at the Sommet Center. Tickets for this game, in addition to all 2009-10 regular season games can be purchased at nashvillepredators.com.
