Frosty's For All After Predators Big Night and More

Game Highlights from Predators.com

Second video of the Pred's back to back goals

The Nashville Predators dodged
a "trap" as Barry Trotz called it last night in defeating the down-trodden Tampa Bay Lightning 7-4 in a wild contest. Here is our story and post game videos from last night. It will be a rare treat with Frosty's for all after the seven goal outburst. (For those elsewhere, Wendy's runs a promo where everyone gets a Frosty when the Preds score 5 goals)

This morning's Sports Club Stats now has the fifth place Predators with a 61.6% chance of making the playoffs with the most likely out come for the season's final record being 95 points which would give the Preds an 87.1% chance of making the playoffs.

An extrapolation of the current 43 points in 34 games would show the Predators finishing with 103 points if they play at the same pace over 82 games. This is all speculation, because as they say, you still have to play the games.

One positive for Tampa fans is that they were able to rally in the third period and make a bit f a comeback after getting blistered for five straight goals in the second period.

Pekka Rinne commented, "In the third period, they got a little life in their team, they got a couple of goals and played hard right to the end."

Predators - Lightning Recaps...

Here is the link to our game story from last night with post game comments from players and coaches.

John Glennon has the game story and his notes column from the Tennessean and his post game blog at Inside Predators. We will have a bit of an information black-out over the next three games as the Tennessean clipped John's wings for the expensive Western Canada swing.

Jim Diamond has his wrap-up at the Examiner and David Boclair has his story for the City Paper.

Around the horn in Pred blog nation stories come from Dirk the Forechecker, Brandon Felder, What the Puck, and Mark at The View From 111, Paul McCann, Fan Huddle, and See Puck City.

The other side of the game story comes from of the Tampa Tribune.

In Pred Nation...

Congrats to prospects Ryan Ellis and Gabriel Bourque who survived the final cuts for team Canada's World Junior Team this morning. Here is the roster with individual status of each player.

The Milwaukee Admirals kept their win streak intact with a 3-2 win at Hamilton on Tuesday night. Short Shifts has the story.

Ok, this is different. Some Country singer named Josh Turner (who I have never heard of) filmed a music video at the November 21 Preds game against Columbus. Here is the link to the video.

From Monday night, here is the video that Jackson is most excited about, Colin Wilson's first pro fight. It wasn't pretty but it is what it is.

Around the NHL..

Ryan at the RLD has an article on his preferences for the next five Winter Classics. Ryan also recalculates the points for the NHL if all games were worth three points.

Adrian Dater caught up with Alex Ovechkin before last night's game with the Avs that the Caps won 6-1. Here the link to his video.

For those wanting to blog but who don't want a regular site, our friends at the Hockey Zen have another option. Check it out.

It's time for this week's #SaturdayNHLpicks. Go here to play.

Finally, it's time again for the 12 days of Jeanneret, a timeless classic.

Not hockey related but here is an interesting article from Ad Age on Accenture's lack of risk management vision in hiring Tiger Woods as a spokesman.

Hey, great blog! Good to see that there's some passionate hockey fans in Nashville. I'm an Oilers fan who blogs over at the Low On Oil blog (lowonoil.com).

The Oil is playing the Preds tomorrow night as you know. I like to do quick, Q&A's with other teams blogs before games. It's a little late in terms of timing, but if you're interested, send me an email: lowonoil[at]ymail.com

cheers,

Jay
