Predators Attempt to Bounce Back Against Calgary and Mavericks Surf Video

Last year, Coach Barry Trotz said that the "core" group of the Nashville Predators were the 25 or 26 players that will play the bulk of the games during the season.

On opening night, when Pekka Rinne went down, Steve Sullivan said, "You are going to have some bumps and bruises along the way. You don't expect Peks to get hurt in the first game. We know it's going to take 29, 30, or 31 guys during the season to be successful."

Tonight, we're getting the opportunity to add too the list of those contributing to the cause. Nick Spaling will suit up for his first game with the Preds this season after a successful rookie campaign last year when he played 28 games and all six playoff games against Chicago.

Pekka Rinne is set to return for his second start after yielding to Anders Lindback for the last three games. Marty Erat may return also. Marcel Goc (shoulder) and and Matthew Lombardi (concussion) will not be back anytime soon.

Ryan Porth from the Red Light District will share his post game analysis with us after the game. Ryan will also have Pete Weber and Joe Yerdon on today's edition of RLD Radio at noon Central.

So aside from having car trouble with our rental car yesterday, I did get to walk out to the point at Mavericks in Half Moon Bay and took this short video,
