Two Questions To Be Answered About Today’s Winter Classic

Other than the weather, the two biggest questions still waiting to be answered about today’s Winter Classic are who will Bruce Boudreau start in goal and will Jordan Staal make his return to the ice in tonight’s game.

Boudreau has been coy about who his net minder will be. He was asked, "Have you decided on a goaltender yet?" He laughed and answered, "Yep."

Washington goalie Michael Neuvirth also didn’t reveal any clues giving a quick “I don’t know” when asked after yesterday’s practice.

Jordan Stall has yet to play a game this year after being sidelined early this year due to complications with a foot injury left over from last year’s campaign. When he tried to return, he suffered a hand injury and is now close to a return.

Dan Bylsma was poker-faced when asked about Staal being able to play in the Winter Classic, “He'll be game time decision."

The game is scheduled to be on NBC at 8 p.m. Eastern with full coverage from Heinz Field.
