Predators Release 2011 Preseason Schedule With Odd Quirks

The Nashville Predators released their 2011 preseason schedule that has a few oddities.

They open the year with a rare hockey double header against Florida on Monday September 19 at the Bank Atlantic Center. The next night, they play the Washington Capitals in Baltimore at the 1st Mariner Arena in a game that was announced last spring.

Finally, they will play a home and away series with the Winnipeg Jets (formally Atlanta) that we can only assume was negotiated prior to the Thrashers' move.

There will be three home games that include the Caps, the Hurricanes, and the above mentioned Jets.
