Predators Send Three Players Back to their Junior Teams

Three players were sent back to their junior teams on Tuesday leaving the team with 52 players remaining in camp.

Austin Watson, Brent Andrews, and David Elsner were returned to their respective teams. Watson was the Preds' first round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft while Andrews was the youngest player in camp.

-Reduction puts roster at 52 entering tonight’s preseason tilt in Baltimore-

Nashville, Tenn. (September 20, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has sent forwards Brent Andrews (Halifax, QMJHL), David Elsner (Sault Ste. Marie, OHL) and Austin Watson (Peterborough, OHL) back to their junior teams, leaving the Predators 2011 training camp roster at 52.

The Predators take on the Washington Capitals in the Baltimore Hockey Classic tonight at 6 p.m. CT (102.5 FM The Game) at the First Mariner Arena. After two days on the ice at Centennial Sportsplex tomorrow and Thursday, and another road tilt at Carolina on Friday (6 p.m. CT), Nashville plays its preseason home opener on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they take on the Winnipeg Jets at 7 p.m. Saturday’s highlights include a pregame American Red Cross Blood Drive and the collection of donations for The Andie and Alex Belak Scholarship Fund. The club’s annual PredsFest game will be the preseason finale on Oct. 1 vs. the Hurricanes. Tickets all preseason games are still available.
